Begin with a Blouse

Hooray!!! We finally made it out of January… is it just me or was that the longest month in the history of the world??  To celebrate the arrival of February, this week’s blog is all about blouses and shirts to help you embrace spring in style.

When I explored The Eden Shopping Centre to research this blog, my spirits were lifted and I suddenly began to feel like spring is on its way… there are so many fabulous blouses and shirts in so many different colours, patterns, shapes and sizes, we are literally spoilt for choice. Whether it’s a new work shirt you’re looking for or just a bright new silky blouse to go with jeans for a dressed down evening out, I guarantee there is something here for you under this roof.
I love the clean freshness of these stripes, I can see this shirt going beautifully with a dark trouser suit or just relaxed with jeans and heels.

Next, £30

This is relaxed chic at its best. The checked shirt has stood the test of time and I love this style. It’s relaxed but stylish and oh, so comfy!

Love this pop of colour!!!! Such an amazing cobalt blue to lift your spirits…

Zara, £25.99

This is the ultimate in sophisticated comfort for me… it’s a blouse built into a gorgeously soft black knit and so ‘two for the price of one’ kinda!!!!! I love this gorgeous collar.

Wallis, £30

More checks but this time softer and more girly with these little added ruffle details.

River Island, £35

The high street proves again that you don’t have to spend a fortune to look good. This beautiful blouse has so much detailed embroidery, it looks so expensive but it’s not!!! Love it.

River Island, £35

This stunning navy and red blouse is so unusual and pretty. I love the cropped sleeves and tassel neck ties.

River Island, £35

This cream blouse may be up there with my favourites of all time!!! The neck line, the sleeves… it’s perfection in my view…. and so’s the price!!

River Island, £38

This blouse is spring all over!!! It’s fresh, 100% linen and such a pretty blue and white stripe. It’s one of those classics that will age beautifully.

Monsoon, £45

Monsoon, £13.50 in the sales right now (go, go, go…….)

Could a blouse be any more cheery??!!!  This is like a huge vase of daffodils and a massive bowl of fresh zesty lemons all rolled into one.

Double-Denim if you Dare!!!! I do…. if it looks as good as this monsoon blouse.

Monsoon, £14.70 (was £49)

This blouse has been ridiculously popular and monsoon only has the larger sizes left on the sale rail but don’t let that put you off… they come up really small are soooooo beautiful so definitely worth popping in and having a try on!

Monsoon, £17.50 in the sale

I do LOVE our M&S at The Eden Centre. There is something so comforting and familiar with it, don’t you think??? It’s almost reassuring just knowing it’s there!!! I have such amazing memories of shopping with my mum at St Michael’s as a small child… anyway… they always seem to get it so right… like this stunning red and white stripes blouse.

M&S, £27.50

I’m obsessed with the denim range and every in Linea at House of Fraser at the moment… it’s all just gorgeously wearable and both on trend and classic. This ivory peplum hemmed blouse is going to be a wardrobe staple for me. I love it to dress up a pair of jeans with some killer heels and will wear it for styling meetings with a navy blazer.
