Wonderful Winter Warmers!

Your statement jumper guide

Who else is in the midst of reaching for a warm, snuggly jumper?  But let’s not forget that it doesn’t just have to be a warm, functional item in your wardrobe, it can also be a statement piece with some character thrown in for good measure!  I’m not talking your Christmas jumper here, I’m talking smart, chic styles that will work with what you have.  Jumpers that add a touch of difference to a pair of jeans or relax down a pencil skirt or smart pair of trousers.  Starting with some fringing that is still so popular this season, this jumper from Marks & Spencer works perfectly with smart denim and maybe some animal print court shoes.  Just add a jewelled necklace over the top if you need to dress it up some more.

The detail on this jumper just makes what would be a very plain navy sweater – hugely more appealing.  The colours are gorgeous together, so Autumnal.  Pick out a colour from the embroidery to wear on your bottom half so as not to bring in any other colours and detract from the detail of the jumper.

If the above just had one too many colours for you, this is a great alternative with a more neutral colour palette of black and grey.  Again, the embroidery detail adding a gorgeous focal point to your outfit.  This jumper will be worn time and time again, it’s stylish and won’t date

If you do fancy going a little seasonal without the big Santa on the front, this zipped cardigan from Biba, House of Fraser, offers a touch of festive cheer and sparkle.  The zipped style ensures it’s still current, giving it a modern feel.

This silver jumper from Wallis is perfect party season wear due to its simple sequin embellishment.  With a subtle all over shimmer, it will wake up a plain outfit without it being over the top.

Last and by no means least, finishing with some faux fur for courtesy of River Island.  Go for this off the shoulder look to instantly up the glam factor.  Keep your bottom half simple – let this top do the talking.  Maybe add some glitzy shoes too just to balance out the look by adding another touch of chic to the outfit.
