Become an Eco Guardian at Eden this Half Term
Your little ones are invited to join Eden’s Eco Guardians for a series of FREE fun and interactive eco-friendly workshops this half term.
Explore current environmental issues and discover greener choices, to help us become more eco-conscious and reduce our impact on the planet.
Small changes can help make a difference!
Monday 17th to Friday 21st February, 11am to 4pm at Kids Corner near Toys UK and Sam’s Deli.
Protecting Sea Life – Monday 17th February
Create sea animals from recycled materials whilst learning about the importance of recycling and the impact plastic waste has on marine life.
Sustainable planting – Tuesday 18th February
Make your own herb garden by sowing seeds in biodegradable plant pots to take home and nurture. Learn the importance of growing your own, including how a plant-based diet can help the environment.
Eco-friendly shopping bags – Wednesday 19th February
Get crafty and create your own sustainable fabric “Bag for life” out of old, recyclable clothing provided.
Upcycling – Thursday 20th February
No need to throw everything away! Learn how to repurpose recycling into fun new creations on this ‘Waste Not Want Not’ workshop!
Local Wildlife – Friday 21st February
Encourage wildlife into your garden by making bird and bug feeders whilst learning about the importance of protecting our local wildlife.
Children who take part in any of the craft sessions will become an official Eden Eco Guardian and receive an Eco Bag to take their creations home!
Newly appointed Eden Eco Guardians can demonstrate their understanding of recycling by helping to sort everyday waste into three labelled apple crates!
