High Wycombe Shopmobility is a registered charity (charity no. 1040164) offering the free daily loan of electric scooters, manual and powered wheelchairs. Our equipment can be used to access services in High Wycombe Town centre, for business, shopping or leisure purposes, promoting and enabling independence and enhancing daily living for anyone with limited mobility whether permanent or temporary; you do not have to be registered disabled.
There is no charge for the service but donations towards the annual running costs are gratefully appreciated.
Extended manual wheelchair hire service
Our manual wheelchairs are available for overnight hire for £3.00 per day or £18.00 per week for long term hires.
Where to find us
We are on the corner of Desborough Road and Newlands Meadow adjacent to Café Nero and House of Fraser with ground floor access to the Eden Shopping Centre.

Customers requiring escorted service to/from the office must pre-book this service and return the equipment at least 30 minutes before closing time.
For all other customers equipment must be returned at least 15 minutes before closing time.
How Shopmobility Works
Membership of High Wycombe Shopmobility is free, please bring personal identification to register. You will receive instructions on how to operate the vehicle safely. Once registered you may enjoy free daily loan of manual or powered wheelchairs, or electric scooters for use in and around High Wycombe town centre. Anyone with limited mobility, whether temporary or permanent, can use the scheme. You do not need to be registered disabled. There is no charge for the service but donations towards the annual running costs of the scheme would be appreciated.
Long term hire of a manual wheelchair is also available at a small charge. Please phone for details.
High Wycombe Shopmobility is a registered charity and depends on grants, donations and sponsorship. It is operated by part-time staff, with the help of volunteers. If you would like to become a volunteer or make a donation, please contact Shopmobility.
Customers may be dropped off outside the office in Desborough Road (adjacent to Cafe Nero/House of Frazer)
Eden carpark (second floor, purple zone) has disabled spaces reserved for Shopmobility customers.
