Looking for things to do in High Wycombe this summer? We’re making the summer holidays bigger than ever with the launch of Big Weekends  – a six-week programme of free events taking place every Saturday throughout the summer holidays.

Following the success of last year's Big Weekender, we're expanding the experience into six themed weekends packed with entertainment, activities, workshops, competitions and interactive experiences for visitors of all ages.

Whether you're searching for events in High Wycombe, free things to do in Buckinghamshire, or ideas for keeping the kids entertained during the summer holidays, Big Weekends has something for everyone.

When Are Big Weekends Taking Place?

Big Weekends will take place every Saturday between 11am and 4pm from 25th July to 30th August 2026.

25th July – Family Fun

Enjoy a day filled with family entertainment, activities, workshops and experiences designed to keep children smiling all day long.

1st August – Wellbeing, Fitness & Lifestyle

Discover fitness demonstrations, wellbeing activities and healthy lifestyle inspiration.

8th August – Entertainment

Expect live performances, interactive experiences and plenty of surprises throughout the day.

15th August – Food & Drink

Celebrate the best of food and drink with tastings, demonstrations and delicious inspiration.

22nd August – Fashion & Beauty

Explore the latest fashion and beauty trends with expert advice, demonstrations and activities.

29th & 30th August – Big Weekends Finale - Whizz Fizz 

We're ending the summer holidays in style with a special two-day finale in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council and We Make Wycombe.
