Enjoy theatre performances, storytelling, dance, and plenty of arts and crafts, with creative activities inspired by nature and the environment.

WhizzFizz is back for 2026, bringing two days of free family fun as part of Buckinghamshire Council's celebration of creativity, culture and community.

Taking place across Aylesbury, Chesham and High Wycombe throughout the summer, WhizzFizz features a vibrant programme of live entertainment, hands-on workshops, storytelling, music and cultural experiences for all ages.

Live Performances & Entertainment

BrainySongs with John Brain

Join local performer and songwriter John Brain for an energetic family music show celebrating science and the natural world. Through original songs, stories and audience participation, children aged 5+ and their grown-ups will discover habitats, plants, animals, fossils, food chains and more.

Hartbeats West African Drumming

Experience the excitement of live West African drumming with Justine Hart and Hartbeats. Join in with lively rhythms and discover the joy of drumming through interactive performances.

Jellyfish Theatre

Buckinghamshire's acclaimed Jellyfish Theatre presents two magical family productions filled with puppetry, live music, comedy and storytelling:

  • Elvis and Nimmiel – Two mischievous elves set out to help Frank the shoemaker in this enchanting adaptation of the Grimm Brothers' classic tale.
  • The Dragon Whisperer – An original adventure packed with dragons, music, puppetry and plenty of laughter.

All performances are relaxed and include integrated Sign Supported English.

Sustainable Craft Jam with Refresh

Artists Lynn Jones and Laurie Christie will help you design a unique wildlife-inspired tote bag using colours, patterns, stencils and creative materials to make something you'll use again and again.

Meet the Wycombe Wyrm

The team behind Wyrd Wycombe bring local folklore to life. Meet the legendary Wycombe Wyrm, hear his story, then design your own mythical monster and invent its tale. Expect plenty of dragons, imagination and fun!

Celebrate World Cultures

Ukrainian Mini Festival

Celebrate Ukrainian culture with a day of music, dance, crafts and traditional performances featuring:

  • Prolisok Ukrainian Dancers
  • Ukrainian Children's Choir
  • Choir Malvy
  • Violinist Yuriy Soroka
  • Pianist Olga
  • Bandura performances
  • Traditional food and craft workshops

Polish Community Activities

Enjoy interactive activities celebrating Polish traditions, including:

  • Traditional puzzles and colouring
  • Christmas decoration workshops
  • A collaborative paper chain project
  • Children's play and learning activities

Women's Cultural Arena

Experience traditional dance demonstrations, audience participation, saree dressing demonstrations and face painting.

Sesha Natya Nikethan Dance School

Watch spectacular performances from Sesha Natya Nikethan, founded by Aananya in 2006. The school has spent nearly two decades sharing the beauty of classical Indian dance with audiences and students alike.
